Education
We recognise that many of the young people referred to Kites residential and fostering services are not in any form of education and difficulties arise due to the behaviour history of the individual.
Our education service shares the Kites ethos in relation to seeing the boys as individuals, each with something to offer.
Using creative and experiential learning methods, tailored lesson plans are developed around individual needs, ensuring we don’t fit a square peg into a round hole.
We can provide both the national curriculum and specialised award schemes with incentives for those with an aptitude for more vocational studies. We encourage mainstream school attendance through our established relationships with local schools and education providers.
We believe every child can achieve. Our teaching staff actively encourage and reward the smallest of achievements and develop individual interests.
Regular and integrated lines of communication throughout the Kites range of services is crucial to our ongoing development of services. Our daily review systems allow pro-active planning and encourage constant monitoring and rewards for the achievements and the degree of effort made. Success creates success.
