Residential Care
Residential Care
Our house has a capacity for 6 boys, aged 11-18, who present sexual development difficulties which may lead to harmful behaviour. We see every young person as special and unique, viewing their behaviour in context with their life experience.
Having created a non-condemning, open and honest environment with no secrets, our young people can develop into adulthood positively by what they see and experience within our residential care. Open discussion is always encouraged to explore individual attitudes and values. Personal objectives and consequences are developed and clarified.
Our young people are introduced to activities, hobbies and social situations while maintaining the need to respect and value others personal space and surroundings.
We have created and continue to develop a calm and homely atmosphere, using group living to promote cooperation and cohesive working. Our well established staff team of dedicated professionals provide and maintain clear boundaries, communication and expectations. These carefully disciplined conditions provide the stability for trust, whilst allowing individuals to personalise and contribute ideas and plans for the house.
Providing feedback and evaluation from our young people, their families and placing authorities is actively encouraged and gives us the knowledge to maximise our success.
"The overall quality rating is outstanding.
Kites residential care provides an excellent highly individualized level of support and care to young boys with emotional and behavioural difficulties. The home is focused on meeting the needs of individual young people, ensuring their well being whilst promoting the needs of the community as a whole. The home presents as a well managed service and only admits those individuals whose needs can be met. "
