About the Role
This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of a team committed to helping children with varied and complex needs. Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure, and you will be working in a setting where we maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where children and young people are listened to, respected, and involved in as many decisions as possible.
As a therapeutic children’s residential support worker, you will provide safe, nurturing, and structured care for children and young people who have experienced trauma. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
You will also support the children and young people with their daily living skills, education, health, hobbies, and interests. You will help them to develop their social, emotional and life skills, and to achieve their personal goals.

You will ideally understand some of the challenges that you could be faced with as it can be a challenging yet rewarding role.
We need someone who can be a role model, work well within a team, has excellent communication skills, is willing to go the extra mile and be prepared for the varying difficulties the role may present.
Already qualified to or willing to work towards your NVQ3 in Health & Social Care.

Salary is £22,932 to £25,116 depending on experience and qualifications plus:
· £44.10 per night sleep-in allowance
· Enhanced night waking rates
