Our Homes – Residential care for young people who have sexual development difficulties

HSB providers in Essex.

Our houses provide a family feel home for our young people and are made up of a 6 and a 5 bedroom home.

We offer the young people their own space that they can personalise to their own likes and tastes. We provide a holistic approach to working with young people. We work closely with education and our therapeutic team to ensure that the young person's needs are met.

We offer a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities through our Thursday club and challenge programme.

Young people have a key worker that will help them navigate through their stay with us. The young people are central to everything we do in our homes. Your views and wishes are very important to us. We know that the young people are not at home, but we hope they can make a home with us.

Estuary House was our first home opened in 2000 is a six-bedroom semi-detached house on the outskirts of Southend. Next door to Estuary House is three semi-independent flats, owned and operated by Kites as an After-care service for our young people. The house has two large receptions rooms, kitchen and separate utility room, with a large garden to the rear.

Brook House, opened in 2015 is a large five-bedroom detached home with a large lounge, kitchen diner and annexe on the ground floor. It has a large garden which is used by our young people in the summer for BBQs and games. The house is situated in an urban area of Southend, close to all the amenities afforded a large town.

Young people enjoy being a part of a vibrant community with access to the full range of leisure, travel and cultural facilities.
