Last week the staff organised a Culture Night, this is an opportunity for our young people to showcase their independent cooking skills and share foods from their culture. It is a celebration for our young people to embrace their background and share a part of it with the other young people and staff.
The boys independently chose their own meals and cooked for approximately 16 people! They took ownership of their recipes and with minimal support, completed their own shopping, meal prep and cooking. The young people that participated did a brilliant job considering the amount of pressure they felt was on them. The other young people engaged well and tried various food. What a successful night!
