Each young person at Kites is taking part in an all about me project that will help promote positive self-esteem and self-awareness, help build positive relationships with peers and encourage the boys to believe in their own thoughts and ideas.
The boys started by creating a portrait of themselves which will be used again in 6 months’ time, when they will be asked to do the activity again so we can see if there are any differences to the way they see themselves. The boys were also given a journal each to use to write down any thoughts and feelings they have.
They have also completed activities based on learning about their likes and dislikes, goals and achievements and their hopes for the future.
The boys can access their work at any time from their all about me folder which they will take with them when they leave Kites.
