Last week one of our young people were given the opportunity to see the Mamma Mia show in London, as a reward for winning the Summer Challenge. When a member of the Outreach team arrived at the home, the young person was ready and waiting to set off for the train station, they stopped at the local shop for some snacks for the journey.
On the way to London, they played cards on the train and the young person was tasked with remembering the stations they needed to change and get off at, which he accomplished so well. Arriving in London, they had plenty of time to spare so visited The Lego and the M&M shop, where lots of photos were taken, some keepsakes purchased and even more snacks too!!
After a little shopping spree, they headed off to the theatre where the Mamma Mia show was being held, the pair enjoyed taking in the views of the old decor and architecture waiting for the show to begin. The young person had a great time singing along to the songs and watched with joy throughout the performance.
The young person said he had a fantastic day and was grateful to be given the opportunity to see one of his favourite shows. The staff member praised him for behaving so well throughout the day and thanked him for being a joy to be around and seeing the happiness in his face was a fantastic feeling.
