Fox and Hounds!

Last week the boys all took part in one of our favourite activities – Fox and Hounds!

There are two teams in the game; one plays the part of the Foxes and lays a trail of glow sticks while the other plays the part of the Hounds, following the trail. The Foxes will then find an area to set up ‘base’ and will hide in an area of the base, for the Hounds to find them.

The game takes part in the local woods after dark, the boys all engaged very well with the idea and structure of the game, and they all enjoyed being out late.

After a thrilling first game they took a pause for some hot drinks and snacks. The teams were then switched to play another game. The foxes were very cunning and kept circling back on the hounds without them realising, that’s when they decided to be a little bit cheeky with the glue sticks and wrote a ‘HAHA’ message to the hounds!

Throughout both the games the boys worked well together figuring out where to lay the sticks and deciding the routes that were taken.

The boys all had a great evening and can’t wait until the next time!
